"In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate"

Welcome to the page that I would never imagine would exist until this very moment. I still remembered the vivid memories and told myself that I would like to do a blog once I was all grown up. Here I am starting a whole new journey in the early age of my twenties.

First and foremost, I would like to thank the people who encourage me and support me to this point, and no words couldn't describe how I feel towards the love that you guys have given me, - you guys know who you are. To my mother, the one who has always been my inspiration in writing and the first one who introduced me to the other world of literature, I am not the person I am today without you. I pray nothing but for your good health, and I hope I have made you proud even in every little achievement that I made. As for my father, the one who barely talks and expresses his feelings with me, I hope you knew that I saw your struggle and all of your sacrifices for our family, and I want to make a confession that I have read all of the journals that you wrote when you were in recovery. I hope nothing but may Allah always protect you and bless you with good health and wealth.

To all the readers, welcome to the beginning of my journey, I hope everything that I shared here will be something that you can learn from, either bad or good. I am going to share my personal experience on something and random thoughts/ opinions on this platform and hopefully along through it, I manage to see something beyond my perspective from your perception and thought that you guys will share in the comment section too. إِنْ شَاءَ ٱللَّٰهُ, If God Wills,  I will take every good comment as motivation and as for the bad one, I will take it as a reflection for me to be a better and do better in everything that I will do.

Please look forward to it and together, let's find the purpose of living. Here's to the beginning of the journey.

Yours truly,

Maizatul a.k.a Stigmai

My Liberty - Notes

On October 7, 2021, I made the difficult decision to quit my first job due to toxic treatment and discrimination. Despite enjoying the work, I couldn't tolerate the mistreatment. Grateful for Allah blessing me with a loving and understanding family, I shared my struggles with them, deciding that enough was enough. That day, before noon, with my mother, I submitted my resignation, uncertain if I should be proud or regretful. Looking back, I question if I'm proud or regretful, acknowledging the complexity of decisions. In January 2022, seeking change, I applied for a job in Johor Bahru, aiming to contribute to my family and step out of my comfort zone. Before leaving, I celebrated my 22nd birthday with cherished friends and family, making lasting memories in Sandakan. My friends played a crucial role in making my 22nd birthday truly memorable. Florencie Ansalmus drove to my home, presenting me with a thoughtful gift – a set of McDonald's meals. Additionally, Dg. Sufiani binti...

Decisions Dilemmas

I find it impressive and somewhat envy-inducing to witness individuals who can confidently navigate their choices. Now, let's delve into discussing the complexities of decision dilemma. I grew up in a messy household. Don't get me wrong, by messy, I mean chaotic, as my parents never set or expected anything from us. While they encouraged freedom of options, advice was limited to 'just study.' The absence of clear guidance left me navigating life's choices without a defined target, fostering a unique perspective on decision dilemmas. Moreover, my siblings and I had to navigate a significant phase, or a downfall, alongside our parents. My dad struggled with drug addiction, and as he embarked on his healing journey, we relocated to live with our grandparents—a living arrangement that continues to this day. Throughout my teenage years, my grandparents served as parental figures. They broadened our options and taught us the importance of making informed choices. Initially,...

Ep. 1: What's in Mai's head?

As I navigate through life, I am constantly torn between these two desires - the desire for independence and the longing for close connections. It's a delicate balance strike, one that often leaves me grappling with conflicting emotions. Yet, amidst this internal struggle, I find solace in the moments spent with those I cherish. Their presence reminds me of the importance of human connections and the warmth they bring to my life. Despite the challenges and uncertainties that lie ahead, I am determined to carve out a path that honors both my need for freedom and my deep-rooted bonds with my loved ones. It's a journey of self-discovery and growth, one that I embrace wholeheartedly. In the end, it is these experiences that shape us, molding us into the individuals we are meant to become. I am looking forward to the productive version of myself, where I can continue pursuing my degree and chasing my dreams while striving for financial independence. I eagerly anticipate the emergenc...
